DOCTORS
Ellen Warren, MD- OWNER
Dr. Ellen Warren was born in New Mexico and raised in Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University for college and University of Oklahoma for medical school. She did her residency in Family Medicine in Columbia, Missouri and found her way to Taos in 1982, newly married to Edwin. Dr. Warren became the sole owner of the practice in January 2017.
Dr. Warren’s practice has evolved over the years to focus on women’s health issues, office dermatology and, osteoporosis. She also has an interest in skin aesthetics.
Dr. Warren has maintained certification in the American Board of Family Practice from 1982 to 2017. She is a Certified Bone Densitometrist. She did serve as chief of staff at Holy Cross Hospital.
Having raised two children in Taos, she and her husband Edwin, continue to love the area both for the scenery and also for the people who make living here so worthwhile.
Marc Steinberg, MD
Marc Steinberg, MD, joined Family Practice Associates of Taos in 1992 after working in other parts of New Mexico for 10 years, including five years at the University of New Mexico in the 1980’s. He attended the University of Miami Medical School, completed a family practice residency at West Virginia University, and had additional training experience at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Steinberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.

Angela Lovell, PA-C
Angela graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNM with her undergraduate degree majoring in biology with a minor in psychology in 2007. She later completed the Physician’s Assistant program at UNM medical school and started practicing rural healthcare in Santa Rose, NM for four years beginning in 2010. While in Santa Rosa, she worked in internal medicine, the emergency room and urgent care for Guadalupe County Hospital as well as primary care at Sunrise Medical Group. The commute from Albuquerque began to take its toll so she began work at Midtown Family Medicine in Albuquerque as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) in 2014. Angela has been traveling to Taos for 10 years and finally succumbed to the call of the mountain and following her dream moving up here in December 2017 starting with Family Practice Associates of Taos January 2, 2018. Angela states that she is “honored to be able to help the people of Taos heal and become a part of this vibrant community.”

Kelly Crowfeather - Practice Manager
Kelly has been with Family Practice since 2009. She is orginally from North Dakota and has worked in all phases of the medical field for 35 years. Kelly and the team will do their best to assist you with your questions and medical needs.
Marian Rainer - Administrative Assistant
Marian has been employed at Family Practice Associates since November, 2009. In addition to administrative duties, she also handles the bookkeeping, prior authorizations, and portal access inquiries.
